Brazil Petroleum Company sets new record for single-day oil production

Petrobras (Brazil) issued a communiqué on the 29th that the company's four offshore floating production storage and offloading units (FPSO) recently set a new record of single-day oil production in the Buzius oil field with a shareholding of Chinese oil companies, reaching 66. 40,000 barrels.

FPSO is the mainstream production device for the development of offshore oil and gas fields today. It can carry out preliminary processing, storage and export of offshore crude oil and natural gas. It is a comprehensive large-scale offshore oil and gas production base integrating personnel residence and production command system. Treatment plant".

   The Buzius oil field is located in the Santos Basin off the coast of Rio, about 210 kilometers from downtown Rio de Janeiro. Petrobras said that the Buzius oilfield is the world's largest deepwater oilfield with huge reserves and low mining risks and costs.

  In the oil field bidding held by the Brazilian government in November last year, a consortium composed of Petrobras, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) won the Bujius oil field. In the consortium, Petronas accounted for 90% of the shares, and PetroChina and CNOOC each accounted for 5%.
