Specification and Application of 1.4418 Stainless Steel

1.4418 is a good martensitic grade stainless steel, with sufficient corrosion resistance, good strength performance and high hardness, and the carbon content is reduced.

1.4418 stainless steel has good strength and corrosion resistance of welded joints, fatigue resistance, very good parameters in low temperature environments, and corrosion resistance is equivalent to austenitic steel 18-8. In addition, it has good weldability.

1.4418 stainless steel can be used when working at low concentrations at room temperature, usually in contact with acetic acid, citric acid, salt solutions, pyrogallic acid, tannins, stearic acid and some nitrate and sulfur compounds.

1.4418 stainless steel mainly provided in the form of rods are used to produce valves, turbine components, nuts and bolts, shafts, pins, pistons, main shafts, crankshafts, agitators, and are used in chemical, energy, marine, shipbuilding, aviation/cryogenic industries.

Delivery conditions QT900-Quenching at 950 to 1050°C, cooling in oil or air, and tempering at 550°C to 620°C.

Delivery conditions QT840-Quenching at 900~1000℃, cooling in oil or air, and tempering at 570~650℃.
