In order to simulate this condition, each ladder frame bears a uniform load (same as the aforementioned test), and then directly receives the heat radiation from above in the electric heating box. The test is carried out until the temperature of the ladder frame becomes stable or structural failure occurs.
FRP: The overall structure of the FRP ladder frame fails after 6 minutes. The average ladder frame temperature at the time of failure is 185°C, and the maximum temperature of a single ladder frame is 222°C.
Aluminum: The overall structure of the aluminum ladder frame fails after 12 minutes. The average ladder frame temperature at the time of failure is 238℃, and the maximum temperature of a single ladder frame is 264℃.
Galvanized steel: It took 2 hours for the ladder frame to reach a stable temperature, and the galvanized steel ladder frame maintained its structural integrity for 2 hours. At the end of the test, the average temperature of the ladder frame was 552℃, and the highest temperature of a single ladder frame was 557℃. By the end of the test, the entire zinc coating of the ladder frame was gone, although only one drop of zinc bead was seen dripping.
Stainless steel: It took 3 hours for the ladder frame to reach a stable temperature, and the stainless steel ladder frame maintained its structural integrity for 3 hours. At the end of the test, the average temperature of the ladder frame was 556°C, and the highest temperature of a single ladder frame was 565°C. The bending deformation of the stainless steel ladder frame after 3 hours is only a little more than 1/3 of the deformation of the galvanized steel ladder frame after 2 hours.
