The Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation Announcement No. 16 of 2021 on the cancellation of export tax rebates for certain steel products is as follows: From May 1, 2021, the export tax rebates for certain steel products will be cancelled.
The specific execution time shall be defined by the export date indicated on the export goods declaration form. Prior to this adjustment, there were 166 steel codes that enjoyed export tax rebate treatment. This adjustment has cancelled 146. Among them, hot-rolled products except steel rails, wheels, and axles have all been cancelled for export tax rebates, and the varieties of export tax rebates are retained. Including cold-rolled alloy steel sheets, cold-rolled ordinary medium and wide steel strips, cold-rolled thin and wide steel strips, electro-galvanized sheets, hot-dip galvanized sheets, tin-plated sheets, galvanized sheets, electrical steel, etc.
